You’re invited to the CAKE & PIE Expo 2.0 (C&PE 2.0)

Hosted at the Four Points by Sheraton, Da Nang, Vietnam on August 20th to 21st, 2022

Da Nang is a major tourist destination in Asia – filled with gorgeous beaches, mountains, temples and more. So, we found it was high time to invite you — our ophthalmology, optometry and industry professional friends — to our “home” for the second CAKE & PIE Expo … and the (potentially) first “tropical” ophthalmology conference.

C&PE 2.0 encompasses both ophthalmology and optometry, with presentations ranging from retina to refractive, to myopia and more. Attendees can expect the same “funkiness” from our magazines to spill over to our expo, resulting in a unique conference experience you certainly won’t want to miss.

C&PE 2.0 is a hybrid event. The live in-person event is full of networking and socializing in a stunning destination. Nearby attractions include the world-famous ancient town of Hoi An (30 minutes south of Da Nang); Ba Na Hills and the oft-photographed Golden Bridge (in Da Nang).

C&PE 2.0 is full of high-value sponsorship opportunities for exhibitors and industry and provides entry and further inroads into the Vietnam and Asia-Pacific eye care market.

C&PE 2.0 LIVE coverage featuring select highlights and topics will be broadcast worldwide through our virtual event platform and social media channels.

C&PE 2.0 will offer in-depth coverage from our dynamic team of writers to be featured throughout Media MICE magazines, digital show dailies, social media updates and more. Attendees can keep up-to-date on notable conference highlights before, during and after the event.

C&PE 2.0 is free for doctors to attend!

T. J. Waggoner

Terrace L. Waggoner Jr., who goes by T.J., has been developing medical devices for approximately 10 years. T.J. Waggoner has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Masters of Business Administration, and a Masters of Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of West Florida. T.J. has completed his coursework for a Ph.D. inOrganizational Behavior but he continues the painful process of checking all the boxes to finally obtain his Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University. You may be wondering how T.J. fell into ophthalmic medical devices, and he owes the pleasure to his awesome father, Dr. Terrace Waggoner. T.J. believes that not having an educational background in engineering or medicine has allowed him to think outside the box and create devices where other individuals saw too many constraints.
